The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) is made up of fifteen federations that represent about 1000 clubs and societies in the United Kingdom. Bristol Photographic Society is affiliated to the Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF)                                          

The WCPF consists of about 100 clubs from Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. The Society was one of the co-founder members when the Federation was formed in 1932 and has maintained close and active connection ever since, providing many officers and judges.The Federation publishes 3 newsletters each year and a Directory of member clubs. It also arranges circulating print and slide folios as well as an Annual Slide and Print Exhibition.
